Senior Jammers

This one is for the teens who want to really rock out. The camp will be 2 weeks and we will focus on jamming, learning as many tunes as possible, plus, how to write and record. We will also learn about creating careers in music now and for the future. Camp will run from 930-330 and we are trying to target a date that looks good for for everyone, currently looking at Aug. 2-12

Junior Jammers

For kids 9-12 who have been playing and are ready to step it up and learn to play with other kids. This is a one week camp learning about what makes a band work, how to listen to music, discovering the history of their favourite bands, and finishing up with learning 3 real songs. Camp will run 930-330 July 4-8 or Aug. 22-26 based on enrolment.

Guitar Bootcamp

Guitarists and bassists, TEN-HUT! Are you ready to see what it takes to get your playing up to the next level? For your fingers to be calloused like never before? To become a fretboard wizard? This one is for you. Bootcamp is one week of intense playing, practicing, and learning. We will cover the history of the guitar and stringed instruments, explore foundational guitar techniques and learn how to employ them, develop efficient learning strategies, and we WILL play a lot of guitar. Some proficiency and experience is required but we will try to accommodate those interested in reaching shred-tacular levels. Guitar BC will run July 25-29, 930-330

Adult Theory Workshop

This is geared to those adults who want to revisit the fundamentals, those who play but never tried to learn theory, and also those parents who want to be more involved in their kid’s learning. Over two days we learn the foundations of western/popular music theory and work develop a better understanding of the how’s and why’s of what is happening in music. We will also delve into the musical alphabet and how to count to 4… musically :) This is a weekend workshop Aug. 5th 5-8pm and 6th 10am-1pm

Home Recording for Newbies

Do you know the difference between a dynamic and condenser mic? What is MIDI? What does DAW stand for? If you’re searching these answers up and fancy yourself a songwriter or producer, this workshop is for you. Designed as a crash course to cover the information needed to properly setup your home studio, make confident decisions on equipment choices, and create/hone your recording workflow by increasing your knowledge and understanding of how all the pieces fit and work together. Creating a solid workflow expedites the process and allows you more time to focus on the music. So, I’d really like to do this the same weekend as Theory, Aug. 13th 10am-1pm and 14th 10am-1pm.
